COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts at Curtin provides students with the flexibility to design a degree that aligns with their career goals, academic interests, and personal passions. Students can customise their studies by selecting either a single major or a double major, allowing them to develop expertise in one discipline or gain broader knowledge across two complementary fields. The degree consists of 600 credits of study, with 300 credits dedicated to the student’s chosen major and the remaining 300 credits completed through a range of flexible study options. After accepting an offer for their selected major, students can choose how to structure the remainder of their degree based on their interests and subject availability. Options include adding a second major to develop expertise in another discipline, selecting two specialisations to build focused knowledge in specific areas, combining one specialisation with four elective units for a balance of depth and flexibility, or choosing eight elective units to explore a wider range of subjects. This adaptable structure allows students to create a personalised learning experience while developing critical thinking, communication, research, and analytical skills valuable across diverse career pathways.
