COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Accounting and Master of Financial Management is a 96-unit double master’s degree that provides integrated professional education in accounting and finance, enabling students to develop advanced expertise across both disciplines. The program comprises 60 units of compulsory coursework covering key areas such as financial reporting, corporate accounting, management accounting, commercial law, data analytics, corporate finance, investments, financial foundations, and quantitative methods including regression modelling and business statistics. These core courses establish a strong understanding of financial decision-making, organisational accountability, business performance analysis, and investment management. Students are also required to complete 12 units of specialised study from areas such as business economics, derivatives, international finance, graphical data analysis, and financial mathematics, broadening their analytical and technical capabilities. In addition, a minimum of 24 units of elective courses allows students to tailor their studies to specific interests in fields such as taxation, auditing, corporate governance, forensic accounting, sustainability reporting, advanced analytics, financial statement analysis, research, and professional internships.
