COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts in Business Economics (MABE) program is a full-time program typically completed within 12 months, with an additional four to eight months for students in the co-op option. The program requires completion of nine one-term courses, including six core courses that cover advanced economic theory, applied economic analysis, and quantitative methods. In the fall term, students take core courses in Microeconomics (EC620), Macroeconomics (EC640), and Econometrics (EC655). The winter term includes one core course, Forecasting, Time Series Analysis, and Survey (EC665), along with two elective courses chosen by the student. In the spring term, students complete a Master Research Project (EC681), which involves a research paper and seminar related to their coursework or work term experience, alongside one elective course. This structure ensures students gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for careers as professional economists in various sectors.
