COURSE CURRICULUM

The VIU MBA program is a 20-month master's degree offered with both Fall and Spring intakes, comprising 60 credits delivered through a comprehensive curriculum across five semesters. In the first semester, students complete foundational courses in research, economics, marketing, management, finance, and accounting. The second semester builds on this with in-depth learning in leadership, microeconomics, strategic marketing, system management, and prepares students for workplace experience through a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Foundations course. In the third (Intersession) semester, students advance into data analytics, global economics, digital communication tools, global talent management, and financial decision-making. The fourth semester emphasizes global business through courses in operations management, global marketing, investment management, and emerging business technologies, with a continued focus on WIL. The final semester includes a six-credit paid internship and a six-credit applied business project, providing practical experience and industry engagement. The program is structured to give students robust knowledge in leadership, technology, and international business, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. Graduates earn a highly respected MBA credential that prepares them for leadership roles in diverse industries and geographic regions, with the skills and experience to manage complex challenges in today’s tech-driven and globalized business environment.
