COURSE CURRICULUM

The program requires students to complete a comprehensive 60-credit curriculum covering essential business and accounting principles. Core courses include Financial Accounting (ACCT 100), followed by a choice between Financial Accounting II (ACCT 201) or Buyer Behaviour (MARK 260), and Introduction to Cost and Managerial Accounting (ACCT 294). Students also study economic fundamentals through Principles of Microeconomics (ECON 211) and Principles of Macroeconomics (ECON 212). Effective communication skills are emphasized with University Writing and Research (ENGL 115) alongside either Business and Technical Writing (ENGL 204 or ENGL 225, depending on the intake year). Financial literacy is further developed with Intro to Finance (FNCE 130) and Introduction to Marketing (MARK 160). Management-focused courses include Principles of Management (MGMT 192), Intro to E-Management (MGMT 230), and Organizational Behaviour (MGMT 292). Quantitative skills are honed through Business Statistics I (QUME 232). Students select one advanced course from Taxation I (ACCT 217), Human Resource Management (MGMT 293), or Financial Planning (FNCE 221), complemented by a choice between an elective or Mathematics 151. To complete the program, five additional electives provide flexibility for students to tailor their education. This blend of accounting, economics, marketing, management, and quantitative courses equips graduates with a solid foundation for careers in business, finance, or further academic pursuits.
