COURSE CURRICULUM

Bachelor of Natural Resource Protection program, students take courses such as Advanced Field Skills, Environmental Monitoring, and Natural Resource Forensic Investigations, complemented by electives, totaling 15 credits in the fall semester. The spring semester includes Business and Technical Writing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or GIS for Natural Sciences, Research Methods in Natural Resource Management or Geography, along with additional electives, also totaling 15 credits. In Year 4, the fall semester focuses on hands-on experience with either an Advanced Field Practicum or Work Experience in Natural Resource Protection, alongside twelve credits of advanced coursework from disciplines such as Anthropology, Aquaculture, Biology, Fisheries, Forestry, Geography, and Resource Management. The spring semester offers courses like Current Topics in Natural Resource Management or Policy, Resources and Sustainability, Fisheries Conservation and Management, Wildlife Management, and Resource Management and Aboriginal Rights, with an additional elective, culminating in 15 credits each semester. This structured combination of practical experience, specialized knowledge, and research prepares students to effectively address complex environmental challenges and excel in diverse careers related to natural resource conservation, management, and protection.
