COURSE CURRICULUM

High-Performance Automotive Service Technician Diploma program provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive performance industry. The program is structured over four terms in the first year and four terms in the second year, totaling 60 credits. In the first term, students build foundational knowledge through courses such as Automotive Workplace Safety, Employability Skills, Tools and Equipment, and General Automotive Maintenance, totaling 14 credits. The second term focuses on core mechanical skills with courses in Engine Repair and Custom Engine work, Manual Drivetrain and Axles, Automatic Transmission and Transaxle, and Brake Systems with an emphasis on high-performance brakes, totaling 16 credits.The second year advances students’ expertise in suspension and steering systems, including high-performance applications, and electrical and electronic systems during the third term, accounting for 15 credits. The final term covers advanced automotive technologies, including Engine Management and Performance Systems, Light Vehicle Diesel Engines and Support Systems, Automotive Heating and Air Conditioning, Vehicle Trim, and Hybrid and Electric Vehicles with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Students also gain hands-on experience in High Performance Engine Tuning and Dynamometer operation. This last term carries 15 credits.Throughout the program, students learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain both standard and high-performance vehicles, focusing on enhancing engine power, handling, braking, and electronic systems. Emphasis is placed on workplace safety, professionalism, and employability skills to prepare graduates for real-world automotive environments. Graduates will be well-equipped to work in performance repair shops, racing teams, or specialized automotive service centers.
