COURSE CURRICULUM

This comprehensive program offers a foundational first year with core courses including CAD Drafting Fundamentals, CAD Drafting Applied, Office & Construction Site Safety, and Construction Mathematics, providing essential skills for drafting and design. Students then select their first specialization from four distinct areas: Architectural, Civil/Structural, Steel Construction Modelling, or Mechanical. The Architectural specialization covers topics such as Architectural Principles, Residential Single Family and Multi-Family designs, Commercial Retail Buildings, 3D and BIM introduction, and Professional Communication. The Civil/Structural specialization focuses on Civil Site Layout, Civil 3D software, Steel Structures, Reinforced Concrete and Foundations, Engineering Statics, and Revit Structures, along with advanced concrete systems. Steel Construction Modelling specialization includes Steel Detailing Fundamentals, Professional Communications, Industrial Framing, BIM software training, and heavy structural steel framing techniques. The Mechanical specialization addresses Electrical and Plumbing Systems, HVAC and Fire Suppression, Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Detailing, 3D Modeling Fundamentals, and BIM applications for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. In the second year, students engage in an Integrated BIM Project that brings together skills across disciplines. They also select a second specialization different from their first, where they advance their expertise through courses such as Advanced Architectural Principles, Advanced Civil Site Layout, Advanced Steel Detailing, or Advanced Mechanical Systems, including multiple advanced courses and a capstone project using BIM. This program totals 70 credits and equips graduates with specialized knowledge and hands-on experience in CAD and BIM, preparing them for diverse roles in engineering, architecture, construction, and industrial sectors.
