COURSE CURRICULUM

This program offers hands-on training in skin and body therapy with classes held three days per week, either from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., scheduled Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday. Students are expected to attend their assigned cohort schedule, with the understanding that while formal classes take place only three days weekly, significant time outside of class will be required for studying, exam preparation, and completing assignments. Class schedules may be subject to change. The curriculum consists of three main courses: Skin & Body Therapy Professional Practice, Skin & Body Therapy Specialized Treatments and Services, and Skin & Body Therapy: Health, Wellness and Career Development, totaling 41 credits. The Professional Practice course, with 16 credits, focuses on the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for performing skin and body therapies safely and effectively in a professional environment. The Specialized Treatments and Services course, also 16 credits, builds on this foundation by teaching advanced techniques and treatment options tailored to meet diverse client needs. The Health, Wellness and Career Development course, worth 9 credits, emphasizes the importance of wellness principles, professional ethics, and career planning within the skin and body therapy industry. Together, these courses prepare students to work competently in spa and wellness environments, ensuring they are equipped with the technical skills, safety awareness, and professional behavior needed to succeed in the industry. Graduates will be able to provide a range of skin and body treatments with confidence while understanding the business and wellness aspects of their profession.
