COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (MEng) program is a course-based degree that requires students to successfully complete a total of eight courses, with no research component, thesis, or requirement to work under a faculty supervisor. This structure makes the program highly suitable for individuals seeking practical, industry-focused knowledge in a shorter timeframe. Out of the eight required courses, five must be chosen from the student’s major field, such as civil engineering, allowing for in-depth specialization and technical skill development within the discipline. In addition, students must complete three core courses: Engineering Technical Communications, Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Project Management. These mandatory courses are typically taken during the first or second semester and are designed to build essential skills in communication, analytical thinking, and project execution. The program also offers an optional co-op component, providing students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a professional engineering environment. Students interested in the co-op program must apply during their first term of study. Overall, the MEng program combines technical specialization with practical skill-building, preparing graduates for advanced roles in engineering practice and enhancing their career prospects in a competitive job market.
