COURSE CURRICULUM

Master of Science in Chemistry Collaborative Quantum Information program must successfully complete at least four one-term graduate courses, each with a 0.50 unit weight. These courses include CHEM 784 Foundations of Literature Review and CHEM 794 Master's Seminar, both designed to support students’ research skills and academic development. Additionally, students are required to take two core Quantum Information courses—QIC 710 Quantum Information Processing and QIC 750 Quantum Information Processing Devices—which provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary foundation in quantum information science. These core courses cover essential topics related to the theoretical and practical aspects of quantum information processing, equipping students with knowledge critical to understanding and contributing to advancements in the field. The combination of chemistry coursework and specialized quantum information classes ensures that students develop a strong and broad expertise, preparing them for innovative research and professional opportunities. Course selections are made in consultation with the student’s supervisor to align with individual research interests and academic goals.
