COURSE CURRICULUM

Students in the program are required to complete 15 courses over three consecutive terms, covering a comprehensive range of actuarial science topics. During the fall term, students take Financial Mathematics I, Life Insurance Mathematics I, Statistics for Actuarial Science, Corporate Finance and Accounting, and Economics. These foundational courses establish critical skills in mathematics, statistics, finance, and economics, essential for understanding actuarial principles. The winter term builds on this foundation with Financial Mathematics II, Life Insurance Mathematics II, Applied Statistics, Stochastic Processes for Actuarial Science, and Casualty and Health Insurance Mathematics, which deepen students’ knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods used in insurance and risk management. In the spring term, students complete Financial Mathematics III, Data Science with Actuarial Applications, Actuarial Risk Management, Quantitative Risk Management, and Professional Communications in Actuarial Science. This final term emphasizes advanced financial mathematics, risk management techniques, data science applications, and professional communication skills, preparing students for real-world actuarial challenges. The sequential structure ensures a well-rounded education, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the actuarial profession.
