COURSE CURRICULUM

The program requires students to complete a comprehensive set of courses that blend business, technology, and mathematics, ensuring a well-rounded education. Core courses include foundational accounting (AFM101, AFM102), economics (ECON101, ECON102), and business subjects such as organizational behavior (MSE211), marketing, business law, and strategic management (BUS381W). Technical training is provided through courses in computer systems (CS230), databases (CS338), networks (CS436), management information systems (CS330), and software engineering (CS430), along with specialized courses in e-business (COMM432) and project management (COMM431). Students also explore quantitative skills through applied statistics (STAT371, STAT372), combinatorics, optimization, and financial mathematics. Courses from the Society, Technology, and Values (STV) program offer insight into the social implications of technology. Students must also select one additional upper-year course from math-related disciplines (ACTSC, AMATH, CO, CS, MATBUS, MATH, PMATH, STAT) and three further electives, allowing for some customization based on interests or career goals. Overall, the curriculum is designed to prepare students for careers at the intersection of business and IT by combining analytical thinking, technical knowledge, and practical business understanding.
