COURSE CURRICULUM

The Gender and Social Justice (GSJ) program offers a comprehensive exploration of how gender shapes societies globally, with courses covering diverse topics from feminist thought to the intersections of race, health, and law. Starting with foundational courses like Introduction to Gender and Social Justice in both the Global North and South, students dive into critical issues such as gender representation, sexuality in communication, and social determinants of health. The program includes specialized studies in women and law, entrepreneurship, technology, and health, alongside explorations of literature, religion, and popular culture through a gendered lens. Advanced courses focus on feminist philosophy, intersectional feminist theory, and the role of gender in war and peace, preparing students to critically engage with complex social issues. With offerings like Global Queer Cinema, Anthropology of Gender, and Studies in Feminist Philosophy, the curriculum integrates perspectives from multiple disciplines.
