COURSE CURRICULUM

The Management Engineering program offers a rigorous and interdisciplinary curriculum that blends engineering, data science, and business. Students begin with foundational courses in chemistry, physics, calculus, linear algebra, and computer programming, along with introductions to engineering and communication. As the program progresses, students build technical expertise in algorithms, data structures, probability and statistics, engineering economics, operations research, databases, and software design. Advanced coursework covers machine learning, supply chain management, simulation, stochastic models, optimization, and human-computer interaction. Students also explore organizational behaviour, design methods, and management-focused engineering projects. The program includes three natural science electives from fields such as biology, physics, and environmental science, and six technical electives from a broad list covering topics like advanced optimization, decision support systems, quality control, and user experience analytics. In the final year, students complete a two-term capstone design project, either within their department or through an interdisciplinary option. Regular seminars support career development and industry awareness. With six co-op terms integrated into the program, students gain hands-on experience in real-world settings, preparing them for careers in product management, business analytics, consulting, or software development. Overall, the program equips graduates to design, analyze, and improve complex systems at the intersection of engineering, business, and technology.
