COURSE CURRICULUM

The Computer Engineering program offers a comprehensive curriculum starting with foundational courses in classical mechanics, programming, digital circuits, and calculus during the 1A and 1B terms, alongside essential topics like electricity, magnetism, and discrete mathematics. As students advance, they engage with numerical methods, algorithms, digital hardware, and embedded systems, complemented by courses in probability, statistics, and signals and systems. Upper-year terms emphasize communication systems, real-time operating systems, analog control, and a variety of technical electives spanning computer architecture, compilers, networks, signal processing, cryptography, wireless communications, and machine learning. Students also complete interdisciplinary design projects in their final year, reinforcing practical engineering skills. The program integrates ethics and natural sciences, offering options in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences to broaden scientific understanding. Technical electives provide flexibility to explore topics in optimization, software design, embedded systems, robotics, and artificial intelligence, among others, with opportunities to take courses from related engineering disciplines.
