COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Physics and Biochemistry at the University of Victoria is a carefully structured interdisciplinary program that combines physics, chemistry, biology, and biochemistry to help students understand life at both molecular and physical levels. In Year 1, students build foundational knowledge through courses in cell biology, chemistry, calculus, physics, programming, and electives, establishing strong scientific and mathematical skills. In Year 4, students engage in advanced laboratory research and specialized topics in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, and related fields, while continuing upper-level physics or astronomy studies.
