COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science (MSc) in Experimental and Applied Psychology (thesis) is a research-focused graduate program designed to develop strong analytical, methodological, and research skills in psychology. The program requires a total of 30 credit hours, combining core coursework, electives, and a substantial thesis component. Students complete foundational courses such as PSYC 801, which typically focuses on research design and statistical methods, along with PSYC 802 or 805, covering advanced topics in experimental or applied psychology, and PSYC 807, which further builds specialized knowledge in the field. In addition to these required courses, students take a graduate-level psychology elective (PSYC 8xx) to tailor their learning to specific interests. The program also includes two registrations in PSYC 900AA, usually associated with seminars, colloquia, or professional development activities that enhance academic and research skills. The central component of the degree is the thesis (PSYC 901), which carries the largest credit weight and involves conducting original, supervised research, culminating in a written thesis and oral defense.
