COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Process Systems Engineering (project-based) is a 30-credit hour graduate program designed to provide advanced technical knowledge and applied engineering skills in process design, optimization, and systems analysis. The program is structured to meet the needs of professional engineers seeking to enhance their expertise through coursework and a practical project rather than a thesis. Students complete four ENPC 8xx courses, which focus on advanced topics in process systems engineering such as process control, simulation, optimization, and industrial system design. In addition, they take two ENxx 8xx courses that broaden their technical knowledge across related engineering disciplines. A further elective is selected from ENxx or related discipline 8xx courses, along with an additional ENxx course from the 300 to 800 level, allowing flexibility to tailor studies to specific professional interests. The program also includes ENGG 701, ENGG 702, and ENGG 703, which focus on engineering communication, research skills, ethics, and professional practice. A key component is ENPC 900, a 3-credit project that involves applying advanced engineering concepts to solve real-world process systems problems under faculty supervision. Overall, the program prepares graduates for advanced professional roles in industry, focusing on practical application, systems optimization, and engineering innovation.
