COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Process Systems Engineering (co-op) is a 30-credit hour graduate program designed to combine advanced academic coursework with structured professional work experience in industry. The program focuses on developing strong technical, analytical, and practical skills in process systems engineering, preparing graduates for careers in industrial and applied engineering environments. Students complete four ENPC 8xx courses that cover advanced topics such as process design, optimization, control systems, and industrial process modelling. In addition, they take two ENxx 8xx courses to broaden their knowledge across related engineering disciplines. Further flexibility is provided through electives from ENxx or related discipline courses at the 300 to 800 level, allowing students to tailor their studies to specific career goals. The program includes ENGG 601 and ENGG 602, which support co-op preparation and professional development for industry placements. Students also complete ENGG 701, ENGG 702, and ENGG 703, which focus on engineering communication, ethics, research skills, and workplace readiness. A key component is ENPC 902, a 3-credit project completed over two semesters, where students apply engineering knowledge to real-world industrial problems under supervision. Overall, the co-op MEng program prepares graduates for professional engineering roles by integrating academic learning with valuable hands-on industry experience.
