COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electronic Systems Engineering (co-op option) is a 30.0 credit hour graduate program focused on developing strong technical expertise and professional engineering experience. Offered through the University of Regina, the program is designed for students who aim to build careers in industry while gaining valuable paid work experience through co-operative education placements. The curriculum combines advanced coursework with professional development and practical engineering exposure. Students complete graduate-level courses from ENEL 800 to ENEL 884, covering key areas such as electronics, communication systems, control systems, signal processing, and embedded technologies. Additional electives from ENEL 7xx or 8xx and related engineering disciplines allow students to specialize according to their career interests. The program also includes ENGG 601 and ENGG 602, which support foundational professional engineering skills, along with ENGG 701, ENGG 702, and ENGG 703, which focus on engineering practice, project development, and applied problem-solving. A major component is ENEL 917, a project-based course that may be completed over two semesters, where students apply their technical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. The co-op structure enhances learning by integrating academic study with industry work terms, improving employability and professional readiness.
