COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Psychology (course-based) is a 30.0 credit hour graduate program focused on advanced professional knowledge and applied understanding of learning, development, and psychological principles in education. Offered through the University of Regina, this program is designed for students who want to deepen their expertise in educational psychology without completing a thesis. The curriculum includes a required approved research methods course that builds foundational skills in educational research and analysis. Core courses such as EPSY 820 introduce key theories and practices in educational psychology, while EPSY 821 or 822 and EPSY 824 or 832 allow students to explore areas such as learning, cognition, assessment, and applied psychological strategies in educational settings. The program also includes a course focused on anti-oppressive education or Indigenous education, ensuring students develop culturally responsive and inclusive professional practices. In addition, students complete several EPSY 8xx elective courses, allowing for specialization in areas aligned with their academic or professional interests. The program concludes with EFDN 899, a major capstone or integrative course that synthesizes learning across the degree.
