COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Environmental Systems Engineering is a research-focused graduate program centered on developing advanced technical expertise and independent research skills through a mandatory thesis. The program requires students to complete a structured combination of coursework and research credits totaling 30 credit hours. Students must take specialized graduate-level courses (ENEV 8xx) that build deep knowledge in environmental systems engineering, along with additional electives from engineering or related disciplines (ENxx 8xx) to broaden interdisciplinary understanding. A flexible elective component allows students to choose courses ranging from the 300 to 800 level, ensuring both foundational and advanced learning tailored to their research interests. In addition to coursework, students must complete ENGG 900, which typically focuses on professional development, ethics, or research methods in engineering.
