COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Electronic Systems Engineering (thesis-based) is a 30.0 credit hour graduate program focused on advanced research and innovation in electrical and electronic engineering. Offered through the University of Regina, the program is designed to develop strong technical, analytical, and research skills required for solving complex engineering problems in modern electronic systems. The degree includes graduate-level coursework and a significant thesis research component. Students complete courses from ENEL 800 to ENEL 884, which provide advanced knowledge in areas such as digital systems, signal processing, control systems, communications, and embedded systems. Additional courses from ENEL 7xx or 8xx and related engineering disciplines allow students to specialize further in their chosen area of interest. The program also includes ENGG 401, which supports advanced engineering principles and professional practice. A major portion of the degree is dedicated to ENEL 901, where students conduct independent, original research under faculty supervision, contributing new knowledge to the field of electronic systems engineering. In addition, ENGG 900 supports research development and progress monitoring. Overall, the MASc program prepares graduates for careers in research and development, high-tech industries, and doctoral studies by combining advanced coursework with intensive thesis-based research experience.
