COURSE CURRICULUM

The Certificate in Ideation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship is a 15.0 credit hour program designed to develop students’ understanding of business innovation, opportunity recognition, and entrepreneurial thinking. Offered through the University of Regina, the program combines core business knowledge with flexible elective options to support creative and strategic skill development across disciplines. The core requirements include BUS 201, which introduces fundamental business concepts, and BUS 302, an advanced course focusing on entrepreneurship and business strategy; however, BUS 302 requires students to have completed at least 30 credit hours before enrollment. To further build applied knowledge, students select one course from BUS 303, 376, 394, 402, or 403, allowing for focused study in areas such as innovation, venture creation, or strategic management. In addition, students complete two elective courses chosen from a broad list that includes business, administration, arts, media production, computing, philosophy, and interdisciplinary studies such as BUS 100, 210, 250, 285, ADMN 225, ARTS 301, MAP courses, CTCH courses, and others. This flexible structure ensures that learners can tailor the certificate to their interests while developing practical entrepreneurial and creative problem-solving skills. Overall, the program prepares students to apply innovative thinking, understand business models, and pursue opportunities across a wide range of professional and academic fields.
