COURSE CURRICULUM

The Certificate in Administration – Level II is an intermediate business-focused program designed for students who want to build on the foundational knowledge gained in Level I and strengthen their understanding of administrative and organizational practices. It consists of degree credit courses from Business Administration, Arts, and elective areas, giving students both specialized business training and broader academic exposure. The program requires the completion of at least 30 credit hours, which typically includes core courses such as ADMN 100 Introduction to Business Administration, ADMN 260 Organizational Behaviour, and ADMN 285 Financial Accounting. Students also study economics through one of ECON 100, ECON 201, or ECON 202, which helps them understand economic systems and decision-making processes in organizations. Communication and academic skills are developed through ENGL 100, ACAD 100, INDG 104, or RDWT 120, ensuring students can write and communicate effectively in professional settings. In addition, learners complete two ADMN elective courses that allow specialization in specific business areas and three open electives that broaden their overall knowledge. The program is designed to enhance analytical thinking, problem-solving, and administrative capabilities, preparing students for entry-level management roles or further study in business-related diploma and degree programs. Overall, it provides a strong stepping stone for career advancement in administration.
