COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science Honours in Statistics at the University of Regina is an advanced 120-credit-hour program designed for students who want in-depth training in statistical theory, computation, and research. The curriculum begins with strong foundations in computer science and mathematics, including CS 110, CS 115, CS 265, MATH 110, MATH 111, MATH 122, MATH 213, MATH 217, and MATH 221, along with MATH/CS 261 to develop analytical and programming skills essential for modern statistical work. Core statistics training includes STAT 160, STAT 251, STAT 252, STAT 300, STAT 301, STAT 351, STAT 354, STAT 357, STAT 362, STAT 452, and STAT 489, covering probability, inference, regression, advanced modelling, and computational statistics. Students also complete two additional STAT courses at the 200-, 300-, or 400-level and three advanced STAT courses at the 400-level, ensuring strong specialization in higher-level statistical methods.
