COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Honours in Chemistry at the University of Regina is a rigorous four-year undergraduate program designed for students who want advanced training in chemical sciences and a strong foundation for research or graduate studies. The program requires a total of 120 credit hours and includes an extensive set of core chemistry courses such as CHEM 104, 105, 140, 210, 215, 230, 241, 250, 251, 312, 330, 340, and 360, along with advanced-level courses including CHEM 401, CHEM 402, and additional 400-level and 300/400-level chemistry electives. Students also complete supporting science courses like BIOL 100 and BIOC 220 to strengthen interdisciplinary understanding. Mathematics preparation includes MATH 110, 111, 122, and 213, while physics requirements include PHYS 109 and 119 or PHYS 111 and 112. Computational skills are developed through CS 110, 115, or 165. In addition to major requirements, students complete ENGL 100 and 110, arts or media electives, science electives, and open electives to ensure a well-rounded academic experience. To graduate, students must maintain a minimum 70% PGPA and 60% UGPA, along with a strong 75% major GPA requirement.
