COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Software Systems Development at the University of Regina is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program focused on building expertise in designing, developing, and managing large-scale software systems. The program requires 120 credit hours and includes a strong core of computer science courses such as CS 110, 115, 201, 210, 220, 280, 285, 301, 330, 335, 340, 350, 372, 411, 412, 428, and 476, along with additional CS 400-level courses and specialized options like CS 473, ENSE 474, or ENSE 475. Students also gain essential mathematical and analytical skills through MATH 110, 111, 122, and 221, as well as statistical knowledge via STAT 160 or 200. The program further integrates engineering and business-related courses, including ENEL 280, 282, 384, and 387, BUS 260 and 302, and ECON 100/201/202, providing a multidisciplinary understanding of software systems in real-world environments. Physics requirements (PHYS 109/119 or PHYS 111/112) and English courses (ENGL 100 and 110) strengthen scientific and communication skills. Additional electives in arts or media and open electives ensure a well-rounded education. To graduate, students must maintain a minimum 65% PGPA and 60% UGPA.
