COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program requires a total of 120 credit hours and combines core mathematics courses with electives and supporting subjects to ensure a well-rounded education. Students must complete 51 credit hours of major-specific courses, including foundational and advanced topics such as MATH 110, 111, 122, 213, 217, 221, 222, 223, 305, 312, and 313, along with STAT 160. Additional requirements include two senior-level mathematics courses at the 300 or 400 level, MATH 251 or STAT 251, and another course in mathematics or statistics above the 250 level or an ACSC course. Students must also take one introductory course in computer science or statistics, such as CS 110, CS 165, or STAT 165. To complete the degree, students must meet a minimum major GPA requirement of 65 percent. The program also includes general education components, such as ENGL 100 and ENGL 110, four electives from Arts or related faculties, two Natural Science electives, five Science electives, and additional electives across multiple disciplines, including open electives. Overall, students must maintain a minimum program GPA of 60 percent to graduate, ensuring both depth in mathematics and breadth across other academic areas.
