COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Business Area of Concentration at the University of Regina is a four-year undergraduate program designed to combine strong technical computing skills with essential business knowledge. The program requires 120 credit hours and includes a core set of computer science courses such as CS 110, 115, 201, 205, 210, 215, 280, 320, 335, 372, 375, and 473, along with additional 300- or 400-level CS electives for advanced study. Students also complete important mathematics and statistics courses including MATH 110, 111, 116, 122, 221, STAT 160 or 200, STAT 251, and STAT 252, which strengthen analytical and data-handling skills. A major feature of this program is its strong business integration, with courses in economics (ECON 100, 201, 202), business fundamentals (BUS 100, 205, 210, 260, 285, 290), and psychology (PSYC 101 or 102), along with ENGL 251 to enhance professional communication. Students also take ENGL 100 and 110, natural science electives, and additional arts or media electives to ensure a well-rounded academic experience. To graduate, students must maintain a minimum 65% PGPA and 60% UGPA. Overall, this program prepares graduates for careers in business analytics, IT management, systems analysis, consulting, and technology-driven business environments.
