COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is a 120-credit-hour professional degree that prepares students for a career as registered nurses through a combination of theoretical learning, clinical practice, and scientific foundation courses. The program requires 93 credit hours in core nursing courses (CNUR), which progress from foundational concepts to advanced nursing practice. Early courses such as CNUR 101, 102, 103, 106, and 107 introduce students to basic nursing principles, health assessment, and professional practice. Intermediate and advanced courses including CNUR 201, 205, 206, 209, 300, 301, 302, and 303 focus on clinical skills, patient care across the lifespan, and evidence-based practice. Upper-level courses such as CNUR 304, 305, 400, 401, 402, 403, and 404 emphasize complex clinical decision-making, leadership, community health, and professional nursing roles. Supporting science and general education requirements include BIOL 110 or KIN 261, BIOL 111 or KIN 262, BIOL 222, ENGL 100, INHS 100, STAT 100, and open electives, ensuring strong knowledge in biological and analytical sciences. The program requires a minimum 65% GPA in nursing courses and overall academic standards of 65% PGPA and 60% UGPA.
