RLST 268 – Cults or New Religious Movements studies emerging religious groups such as New Age movements, Wicca, Scientology, and others, emphasizing their origins, beliefs, and social impact. RLST 230 – Religion, Spirituality and Health examines how religious beliefs influence health, healing practices, and medical outcomes, including implications for healthcare policy. RLST 290AP – Sex and Sexualities in Religion explores how different religions regulate sexuality, gender, and identity, connecting these ideas to issues of power and social norms.
