COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) is a 120-credit-hour interdisciplinary program that combines core training in philosophy, political science, and economics to help students understand and address complex real-world issues. The major requires 60 credit hours in total. In philosophy, students complete PHIL 100, PHIL 150, and four 200-level or higher courses, ensuring coverage of history of philosophy, problems of philosophy, and value theory, with at least two courses at the 300 or 400 level. In political science, students take PSCI 100, PSCI 230, one of PSCI 210, 220, or 240, two 300-level courses, and one 400-level course. In economics, requirements include ECON 201, ECON 202, ECON 224, one additional 200-level or higher course, and two upper-level ECON courses at the 300 or 400 level. The program also includes a 200-level PPE foundations course and a 400-level PPE capstone course to integrate learning across disciplines. Arts Core Requirements include courses in Indigenous studies, humanities, social sciences, Indigenous knowledge, media and arts, science, and language study, though some requirements are fulfilled within the major. Students also complete 39 credit hours of open electives, allowing flexibility to explore additional interests. A minimum 65% major GPA and 60% overall GPA are required for graduation.
