COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering is a comprehensive program that prepares students to innovate and lead in a broad spectrum of technological fields. The curriculum begins with a strong foundation in fundamental sciences and engineering principles, including courses in chemistry, physics, linear algebra, calculus, digital systems, and technical communication. In the second year, students progress to core electrical engineering topics such as electronics, circuit theory, signal analysis, electromagnetism, and computer architecture, while also developing essential engineering skills through design and product development courses. The third year builds on this foundation with more advanced courses, including electromagnetic engineering, control systems, communication systems, and semiconductor devices. Students also begin to explore specialized technical streams aligned with their interests and career goals.In the final year, students choose one of five specialization options: Communications, Systems Engineering, Electronics, Microwave and Photonic Engineering, or Power and Sustainable Energy. Each option includes a carefully selected set of advanced courses tailored to its field, such as wireless communication, VLSI design, optical networking, or sustainable power systems. All students complete a capstone design project in two parts, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world problems and gain valuable hands-on experience. The program includes 123 units in total, blending theory, practical labs, and design work to ensure graduates are well-equipped to pursue careers in industry, research, or entrepreneurship.
