COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program includes a combination of core courses in writing, computer science, mathematics, and science, with a focus on calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and programming. Students must also meet general science requirements with lab courses in biology, chemistry, or physics. At the upper-division level, students explore more advanced topics like complex analysis, algebra, and differential equations, along with probability and statistics. For those pursuing the Honours in Mathematics, a minimum GPA of 3.33 and the completion of a thesis under faculty supervision are required. Joint majors are available with Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics, each offering a tailored set of cross-disciplinary courses. Additionally, students can pursue minors in Mathematics or Statistics, which require core courses in calculus and statistics, along with upper-division coursework.
