COURSE CURRICULUM

This program integrates Indigenous knowledge systems and sustainable planning practices through a combination of core and supporting courses. Core modules such as FNST 131 (First Nations Language), FNST 303 (First Nations Religion and Philosophy), and ENPL 409 (Indigenous Planning Studio) ground students in Indigenous worldviews and community-based planning approaches. Courses like ENPL 415 (Sustainable and Inclusive Design Studio) further develop applied skills in creating inclusive, resilient communities. Supporting modules—including ANTH 213 (First Nations Cultures of BC) and ENPL 305 (Regional and Community Planning)—complement the core curriculum by broadening students' understanding of community development, environmental stewardship, and professional planning practices.
