COURSE CURRICULUM

The Community and Population Health program offers three major tracks: general, Aboriginal and Rural Health, and Environmental Health. The first year includes foundational courses in biology, chemistry, health sciences, and Indigenous studies. In the second year, students dive into microbiology, health economics, ethics, nutrition, and psychology. The third year focuses on specialized topics like First Nations health, human physiology, and research methods. In the final year, students explore epidemiology, health promotion, and chronic disease management. Electives allow students to further tailor their studies, with courses on medical anthropology, environmental history, and health policy. The program equips students for careers in health services, policy, and research, with an emphasis on rural and Indigenous health.
