COURSE CURRICULUM

This business-focused program combines core areas of commerce, accounting, economics, and management, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the business world. At the 200 level, students build foundational knowledge in business communication, accounting, financial management, organizational behaviour, marketing, and statistics. There's also a strong emphasis on applied computing and mathematical skills, with options for finite math, linear algebra, and calculus depending on academic goals. Upper-division courses (300 and 400 level) explore advanced business topics, including business law, human resource management, business ethics, marketing strategies, and strategic management. Students deepen their understanding of financial systems through intermediate and advanced accounting, management information systems, and managerial economics. Additional foundational courses in Canadian business, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and Indigenous studies broaden students’ contextual understanding. Advanced electives offer specialization in areas such as taxation, auditing, international economics, econometrics, development economics, and financial systems, allowing students to tailor the program to their career interests or academic pursuits
