COURSE CURRICULUM

The Community and Environmental Planning program blends foundational knowledge in business, economics, political science, and Indigenous studies with practical and theoretical learning in planning and sustainability. In the first two years, students take core courses such as microeconomics, Canadian business, environmental planning, and contemporary political issues, alongside electives in areas like community development, governance, First Nations studies, and methods including GIS and planning techniques. In the upper years, students deepen their knowledge with courses in rural development, community policy, and northern studies, while choosing focused electives in community engagement, public administration, and Indigenous wellness. This interdisciplinary program equips students with the tools to plan and lead in diverse social, political, and environmental contexts.
