COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology program is a structured graduate degree requiring a total of 45 credits, including 30 credits of coursework, a 6-credit practicum, and a 9-credit capstone project. The program begins in Year 1 Term 1 with foundational courses such as Applied Social Psychology, Social Cognition, and Social Identity, which introduce key theories and concepts related to human behaviour in social contexts. In Term 2, students build on this foundation by studying Social Influences on Health and Well Being and Interpersonal Relationships and Group Dynamics, while also selecting an elective such as Intercultural Communication or Organizational Theory and Leadership. Term 3 focuses on more advanced topics including Implicit Bias and Prejudice and Research Methods for Social Psychology, alongside an additional elective in analytics or data management, helping students develop both critical thinking and analytical skills. Term 4 provides a scheduled break.
