COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bioveterinary Science degree pathway is a structured four-year program designed to build a strong foundation in biological sciences while gradually advancing into specialized areas related to animal health and research. In Year 1, students begin with core subjects such as general biology, chemistry, mathematics for biological sciences, and introductory computing, along with courses in academic writing and scientific inquiry, establishing essential scientific and communication skills. Year 2 focuses on deepening scientific knowledge through organic chemistry, biostatistics, and detailed studies of mammalian anatomy, supported by physics for life sciences and laboratory components that strengthen practical understanding. In Year 3, the curriculum shifts toward more advanced biological concepts, including molecular biology, microbiology, mammalian physiology, and health research methods, while also covering topics such as animal nutrition and disease, enabling students to connect theory with real-world applications in animal health. By Year 4, students engage in highly specialized subjects like biochemistry, immunology, genetics, animal breeding, and reproduction, supported by laboratory work and elective courses that allow for academic flexibility and focus.
