ABOUT UNIVERSITY

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is a private, for-profit university located in downtown Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 2024 after an announcement in October 2022 by Global University Systems Canada. The university offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as biomedical sciences, business, data analytics, management, and digital media. The development of the university was part of the City of Niagara Falls' efforts to attract a post-secondary institution to the downtown area, which had been a goal since 2013. The university began its first term in April 2024 with sixty students enrolled in two graduate programs. By September 2024, it officially opened and enrolled over 1,000 students across two undergraduate and three graduate programs. The university received approval from the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities in October 2022 to offer its programs, which were designed by academics contracted from other Canadian universities. These programs include an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration with majors in Digital Economy and Digital Marketing, as well as master’s degrees in Data Analytics, Management, and Digital Media and Global Communications.
