COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences program requires students to complete a minimum of 12 course credit hours, with course selection approved by their academic advisor. Early in the program, students may begin coursework depending on course availability, and must follow advisor-student guidelines throughout their studies. To maintain good standing, students must achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 within the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Additionally, all students are required to complete mandatory tutorials on academic and research integrity, ensuring ethical conduct in their work. Participation in the pharmacy seminar course is also compulsory every year while registered as a full-time student, providing ongoing learning and engagement with current research and developments in pharmaceutical sciences. Sample courses offered in the program include PHRM 7080, which covers biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics; PHRM 7102, focusing on pharmacoepidemiology; PHRM 7120, which teaches medical and scientific writing skills; PHRM 7130, exploring novel drug delivery systems; PHRM 7180, which examines pharmaceutical implications of biotechnology; and PHRM 7202, covering advanced topics in pharmacoepidemiology. Together, these components provide a comprehensive framework to prepare students for careers in research, academia, and the pharmaceutical industry.
