COURSE CURRICULUM

Master of Science (MSc) in Management program at the Asper School of Business will spend at least the first year in full-time residence. During this period, they will develop both breadth and depth of knowledge in their chosen specialization and supporting areas through graduate coursework offered within the Asper School and other related faculties at the University of Manitoba. The program offers five areas of specialization: Actuarial Mathematics, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, and Supply Chain Management. Degree requirements include completing a minimum of 18 credit hours combined with a thesis or practicum. Students must complete at least 6 credit hours of required graduate-level courses (7000 level or above) within their specialization to ensure focused expertise. Additionally, up to 12 credit hours of optional courses can be taken, subject to approval by the Asper School Graduate Research Programs Committee, allowing students to tailor their learning according to their interests and research goals. The thesis or practicum provides an opportunity for students to apply their acquired knowledge through original research or practical experience, preparing them for academic or professional careers in management. This program balances rigorous coursework with research and practical application, equipping graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in diverse management roles.
