COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Engineering (MEng) program requires students to complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework, designed to provide advanced technical knowledge and practical skills in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Of these, at least 9 credit hours must be at the 7000 level or higher and offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, ensuring a strong focus on specialized and advanced topics. In addition to coursework, MEng students must complete an advisor-approved engineering project accompanied by a detailed project proposal. This project is an essential component of the program and should involve a level of effort equivalent to at least 6 credit hours of coursework. The project allows students to apply their learning to real-world engineering problems, developing hands-on experience and problem-solving skills. Unlike research-based degrees, the MEng focuses on the practical application of engineering principles and does not typically provide direct access to PhD programs.
