COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Applied Human Nutrition (MAHN) program follows a structured progression combining intensive practicum placements with advanced coursework. In the fall semester, students complete 16 credit hours of Applied Human Nutrition Practicum alongside 13 credit hours of Advanced Applied Human Nutrition courses, providing both practical experience and theoretical knowledge. The winter semester includes a more intensive practicum of 26 credit hours, complemented by 23 credit hours of advanced nutrition coursework and a 3-credit Practice-Based Dietetics Research course. In the spring, students finish their practicum with 6 credit hours and continue with the Practice-Based Dietetics Research course, applying research methods to their projects. This integrated approach ensures that students gain the practical skills and research expertise necessary for professional practice as Registered Dietitians.
