The Joint Master of Arts in Religion program offers a wide range of specialized seminars designed to deepen students’ understanding of various religious traditions, theories, and interdisciplinary approaches. RLGN 7080: Seminar in Research Methods and Theory provides foundational skills in academic research and theoretical frameworks essential for advanced study in religion. RLGN 7180: Seminar in Early Modern, Modern and Contemporary Christianity explores the development and influence of Christianity through key historical periods. Students can examine the intersections of religion with philosophy in RLGN 7190, or explore psychological perspectives on religious experience in RLGN 7200: Seminar in Religion and Psychology. The program also includes focused seminars on major world religions, such as RLGN 8260: Seminar in Hinduism, RLGN 8280: Seminar in Islam, RLGN 8290: Seminar in Buddhism, and RLGN 8310: Seminar in Judaism.
