The Philosophy (MA) program offers a range of graduate-level courses designed to provide students with a deep and comprehensive understanding of core philosophical disciplines and advanced topics. Key course offerings include PHIL 7110: Graduate Seminar, a 6-credit hour course that facilitates in-depth discussion and critical analysis of philosophical texts and ideas, encouraging active engagement and scholarly debate. PHIL 7120: Graduate Reading 1 (3 credit hours) allows students to undertake specialized reading projects under faculty supervision, fostering independent study and research skills. Core philosophical areas are covered through courses like PHIL 7140: Epistemology and PHIL 7160: Metaphysics, each offering 3 credit hours and focusing on foundational questions about knowledge, reality, and existence.
