COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Arts program in Art and Architectural History offers a diverse range of courses designed to deepen students’ understanding of visual culture through various perspectives and methodologies. FAAH 7100, History and Methodology of Art/Architectural History, provides a foundational exploration of key historical approaches and research methods used in the study of art and architecture. FAAH 7010, Topics in Art/Architectural History, covers specialized subjects within the Western art and architectural tradition, allowing students to focus on particular movements, periods, or themes. FAAH 7020 focuses specifically on Topics in Indigenous, Métis, and Inuit Art/Architectural History, highlighting the unique contributions and perspectives of these cultures within the broader field. The program also offers FAAH 7200, Directed Study in Art/Architectural History, which allows students to pursue independent research projects tailored to their interests under faculty supervision.
